Villareal were underdogs.
Villareal scored first, via Moreno, in the first half.
Manchester United equalised in the second half via Uruguayan, Cavani.
The game went to an exciting penalty shootout
Where all 10 outfield players for each team scored their penalties.
The game came down to penalties by each team's keepers.
Geronimo Rulli scored for Villareal.
But then the Manchester United keeper De Gea, had his penalty saved,
It was an exciting end to the game.
Manchester United have won 3 European Cups, 20 English titles, 12 English FA Cups, 5 League Cups, 1 European Cup Winners Cup, 1 Europa League, 1 European Super Cup, 1 Intercontinental Championship and 1 World Club Cup,.
This was the first European trophy Villareal have won. Villareal have never won the Spanish League, or Spanish Cup.
Villareal is a city in Eastern Spain. Villareal has a population of around 50,000 people.
So this was a massive upset for European football.
