Scottish International Team Or Domestic Soccer - Priority.
My priority is for the Scottish international team to do well.
The success of the national team is the most important thing.
Scotland does well at club football. And I want Scotland to continue to have a strong rich club system.
With teams reaching European finals, and winning big games.
But I much prefer Scotland to do well at international football.
Scotland was the best team in the World in the 19th Century.
They also had good teams in other decades.
Scotland have produced some of the best players and mangers in football history.
But for me, the priority is international football.
Systems have to be set up that develop good international players, without damaging the club system.
The problem with club football, now is that is degraded slightly by the fact clubs can buy success.
Clubs can buy in players.
Although I suppose you can argue that international teams can buy success, by hiring top managers, paying for thousands of youth coaches, and expensive youth development systems.
Also richer countries can have expensive education systems that help develop players and managers,
But that is a truer reflection of the country.
A club team can just buy an entire team of players from elsewhere.
I hope Scotland can do well at international soccer.
