Should Scotland Choose More Attackers Or Defenders For The European Championship?
Some are asking for more attacking players.
Some are asking for more defensive players.
My own view, is Scotland should choose some defensive players to give experience and quality in central defence. It is important to have a strong defensive system in the games.
There are some top defensive players like Scott McKenna, and Andrew Considine.
I think Scotland have some strong attacking players, and midfielders.
But I would love Scotland to have depth and energy in defence to cope with the top quality attacking threat Scotland will play against in the trophy.
I also think Scotland should choose lots of reasonably experienced players who can cope with different systems and styles of play.
I think Scotland should use the warm games to warm up for tournament, but also to build for the future. So some young players could play in the warm up games. But the actual European Championships themselves should contain a squad of strong experienced players. That way Scotland can do well in the tournament.
Thanks. -
