Dumbarton FC have taken Farrell as their new boss.
The new manager used to manage Stranraer FC.
He has had a long career in soccer, mostly in the Scottish soccer system.
He has played for Stenhousemuir in his playing career.
Dumbarton are currently in Scottish League One.
