Who Will Be Scottish Player Of The Year 2021?
As Glasgow Rangers won the title, I would expect the favourites to come from Glasgow Rangers, as Rangers have won the league title.
But some players might boost their chances due to performing well for Scotland.
From Glasgow Rangers possible candidates could be Allan McGregor, James Tavernier (captain), Filip Helander, Kemar Roofe, Connor Goldson, Steven Davis, Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Borna Barišić, Ianis Hagi, Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield, and Ryan Jack.
From Glasgow Celtic possible candidates could be Ryan Christie, Scott Brown, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Kristoffer Ajer, David Turnbull, Odsonne Édouard, Tom Rogic, and Callum McGregor.
Other candidates are Lewis Ferguson, Andrew Considine, Ross McCrorie, and Joe Lewis all of Aberdeen FC.
At Hibernian FC, the candidates could be Martin Boyle, Kevin Nisbet, Paul Hanlon, Ryan Porteous, Alex Gogic, and Christian Doidge.
At Livingston the candidates for Scottish Player of the Year could include Nicky Devlin, Scott Pittman, Jon Guthrie, Marvin Bartley, Craig Sibbald, Alan Forrest, Scott Robinson, Julien Serrano and Jason Holt.
At St Mirren the possible candidates could include Joe Shaughnessy, Jamie McGrath, Jonathan Obika, Conor McCarthy, Marcus Fraser and others.
At St Johnstone possible candidates include Scott Tanser, David Wotherspoon, Liam Gordon, and Jason Kerr.
Other candidates could include Devante Cole of Motherwell, Ross Callachan of Hamilton, Nicky Clark and Lawrence Shankland of Dundee United, and Chris Burke of Kilmarnock.
To win the award you do not have to be Scottish. You can be a player playing in the Scottish soccer system for one of the club sides.
