The Winners of the Scottish Challenge Cup and FA
Trophy should play each other in a two-leg final. The cup could be named after
the old Anglo – Scottish Cup, taking on board the old trophy name.
The FA Trophy is the top English non-league
domestic cup.
The Scottish Challenge Cup is a trophy played
primarily between the teams of the SPFL below the Premier. So the finalists of
the trophy would probably include a top team from Scottish Championship and a
team from the English National League.
The teams are on a similar level financially.
The top non league domestic cup of England, versus the lower league cup of
Scotland.
The come could be played over two legs. It would
be good fun to have a cross border cup between Scotland and England.
