Scottish - Africa Cup

 Scottish - Africa Cup

Scottish Football Could Have A Cross Border Cup With African Sides.

There would be no serious jet lag issue as Europe and Africa have similar time zones. Plus there would be some cool countries to go to such as South Africa, Ethiopia, Ghana, Gabon, The Gambia, Egypt, Morocco, the Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal, the Congo, Kenya, Cameroon, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania.

It could be the Scottish - Africa Cup.

It could be a group stage trophy, with all Scottish Premier sides, or the top four Scottish sides playing a selection of African club sides, or even national sides,

The rugby union system in Scotland, are prepared for Scottish sides to play South African sides, so why not at soccer?

I would love Scotland to increase it's football influence over Africa,. Africans could start supporting Scottish sides and would love the extra revenues that Scotland as a developed nation, would give the football system in Africa,

It could mean inviting in 20 or so teams from Africa to take part, And having a group stage trophy, in Scotland with the final in Scotland.

Football in Africa is top quality, so inviting in African teams would help develop good Scottish sides.

This would really be great fun for Scottish soccer..

African football is top quality,

It could either be based entirely in Scotland, with Africans sides basing themselves in Scotland. Or it could have some travelling to Africa for games.

I would prefer the trophy to be based in Scotland.

There are some great African sides such as Al Ahly, Zamalek, TP Mazembe, ES Tunis, Hafia FC, Raja Casablanca, Enyimba, ES Sétif, and the Orlando Pirates.

This would help them improve their finances by playing big Western European sides, It would also help Scottish sides play top African sides.

This is not a joke. I really think it would be a good idea.

It would glamorise, and different to play top African sides. They could be invited to Scotland.
