Mixed Night For Scottish Clubs In Europe.
Two of the Scottish sides proceeded to the next round. While two of the clubs went out. Glasgow Rangers drew 0-0 with Alashkert today. Fortunately they had a 1-0 lead on aggregate.
So Glasgow Rangers proceed to the Europa League Group stages.
Glasgow Celtic lost 2-1 on the night, to AZ Alkmaar. But held a 2-0 aggregate lead from the first leg. So also proceed to the group stages of the Europa League 4-3 on aggregate.
The bad results for Scottish football were St Johnstone losing 2-0 to LASK of Austria in the Europa Conference League. Meaning they exit the UEFA trophies for the season.
And Aberdeen lost 3-1 at home to Qarabag of Azerbaijan. Meaning Aberdeen exited Europe 4-1 on aggregate.
I hope Celtic and Rangers can win a European trophy this season.
