Wim Jansen Was A Great Manager.
I support all Scottish clubs in Europe.
It is sad news to hear that Wim Jansen has passed away. He was a great manager in Scottish football.
He only managed Glasgow Celtic for one season, but he won the 1997-98 league title. It was the first time in the nineteen-nineties that Glasgow Celtic had won the tier one league title. Glasgow Rangers had been chasing a tenth title in a row, before Celtic won the title instead in 1997=98.
Jansen also won the Scottish League Cup as a manager.
Jansen had numerous other managerial jobs. But in Scotland he is most famous for his 1997-98 title success.
And he is famous for signing legendary football player Henrik Larsson to Glasgow Celtic.
