Maybe Scottish football could invite foreign teams into the Scottish League Cup? Teams from other nearby countries in Western or North Eastern Europe.

They already invited non -Scottish sides into the Scottish Challenge Cup for a few years, 

Maybe invite big foreign sides or close by sides into the Scottish League Cup?

Maybe big teams who would add glamour to the trophy. Those teams would have an extra trophy to play for. While the Scottish could have some bigger teams to play each season. 

Imagine teams like Rosenborg, Viking Stavanger, Malmo, IFK Goteborg, AIK Stockholm, Legia Warsaw, Ajax, Copenhagen, Brondby. Shamrock Rovers, Linfield, or Anderlecht? 

Maybe even teams from North America could be invited? 

This could increase the history of the Scottish League Cup.

The negative is a Scottish trophy could go abroad.
