On Monday the Second of August 2021 will be the first League derby between Ayr United and Kilmarnock for decades and the first of this century. 

Ayr and Kilmarnock are big towns in the Scottish county of Ayrshire. 

Ayr United and Kilmarnock are big sides by Scottish standards. 

Kilmarnock have won a league title, two Scottish second tier titles, 3 Scottish FA Cups, 1 Scottish League Cup, and were runners up in the International Soccer League. 

Ayr United have won 6 Scottish second tier titles, and 3 Scottish third tier titles,-

Both clubs have good stadiums, and big supports by Scottish standards. 

This will be a high pressure, passionate derby for both teams. 

The derby will happen in the Scottish second tier. The Scottish second tier is known as the Scottish Championship.

Scottish Teams Should Focus On Winning The Europa Conference League.

For any Scottish side, winning this Europa Conference League trophy would be one of the biggest moments in their history. 

The Champions League is too difficult for a Scottish club to win.

Realistically only Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers are big enough to win the Europa League. 

But I really think any Scottish team in the Scottish Premier is big enough to win the Europa Conference League. 

It would be fantastic if any Scottish club won the trophy. 

I really think one of the smaller or medium sized nations could produce a winner of the trophy. 

Including nations like Switzerland, Greece, Scotland, Sweden, Norway, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and others. I think Poland, Russia, and the Ukraine, which are big nations could produce a winner of the trophy. 

Only one club each from the big 5 leagues will be in the trophy. So it could be open this season. 

It is a tough trophy. Scottish teams could be out before the group stage, but I still think it is possible for a Scottish side to win the trophy.

New York City had an impressive win in the Major League Soccer, with a 4-1 victory over Columbus Crew. 

Castellanos, Andrade, Parks and Rodríguez scored for NY City.

While Santos scored for Columbus. 

This is an impressive win for New York City.

New York City FC were formed in 2013. 

In the history of New York City FC great players have played for the club in the past and present. Some great players have played for the club such as David Villa, Heber, Tommy McNamara, Alexandru Mitriță, Gary Mackay-Steven and Andrea Pirlo.

The best season for New York City was 2019 when they won their conference and finished second overall in the MLS. 

They are currently highlym placed in the Eastern Conference.

The semi final line up in the men's Olympic soccer has been partially decided.

Japan Beat New Zealand on penalties.

The final game in the Quarter Final is between Mexico and South Korea which is being played today. 

At half-time Mexico were leading 3-1.

While the first first team of Glasgow Celtic were knocked out of the Champions League Qualifiers. The Celtic B team got their first competitive victory of the season in the Scottish Lowland League.

Celtic B put in an impressive display with the Celtic scorers as two goals for Brooks, plus goals by Vata,  Moffat and Wylie. 

The University of Stirling scorer was McGale. 

The Celtic B side performed well at the Forthbank Stadium, to win a impressive win. 

Celtic B have some top young players who should have a good future in the game. 

This should be a great experience for the side.

Great Britain have been defeated by Australia in the Quarter Final of the 2020 Olympics at women's soccer. 

It is a shame that the Great Britain side lost. 

The game went to extra time, with Australia scoring the last goal in the high scoring game. 

Ellen White scored 3 goals for Great Britain in the game. 

Kennedy scored twice for Australia. While Kennedy and Kerr also scored for Australia. 

Congratulations to the Australia female side.

Aberdeen And Hibernian Through To Next Europa Conference League Round.

Aberdeen and Hibernian have both managed to get results that saw them progress to the 3rd Europa Conference League Qualifying Round. 

Both Aberdeen and Hibernian won on aggregate against foreign opposition. 

Aberdeen had a 5-3 aggregate win over BK Hacken after losing 2-0 in the away leg.

Aberdeen won the home leg 5-1 but lost the away leg 2-0.  

Olsson and Bengtsson scored both goals for BK Hacken in the 2-0 second leg win for BK Hacken. But despite the second leg win for BK Hacken, Aberdeen go through on aggregate after winning the first leg 5-1 at home. 

Aberdeen will play Breiðablik of Iceland in the next round.

Meanwhile Hibs won 2-1 away from home to have a 5-1 aggregate win over Santa Coloma. The second leg score was FC Santa Coloma 1 Hibernian 2.

Hibernian had a good away win against the Andorran side. 

In the 2-1 win for Hibs, Murphy and MacKay scored for Hibs. 

Lopez scored for Santa Coloma.

Hibernian win 5-1 on aggregate. 

Hibernian will now play Croatian side Rijeka in the next round. 

It was a positive set of results for Scotland in the Europa Conference League. 

It made up for the disappointment of Glasgow Celtic being knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers by Midtjylland.

I want all Scottish sides to win in Europe including Celtic and Rangers.

St Johnstone, the reigning Scottish Cup, and Scottish League Cup holders are to play Turkish giants  Galatasaray in the Europa League Qualifying.

This is one of the biggest ties in the the history of St Johnstone. 

Galatasaray will play St Johnstone on the 5th of August 2021, and the 12th of August 2021. At least according to the present fixture lists 

It will be a tough set of games for St Johnstone. 

Galatasaray are 22 times Turkish Champions, 18 times Turkish Cup winners, and have also won the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup. 

Galatasaray have defeated some great teams in Europe. 

St Johnstone need to play well to beat the Turkish giants.

Celtic, Hibernian and Aberdeen are in European action this week. 

I hope all three Scottish sides win. I support all Scottish sides in Europe, including Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers. I want Scottish football to do well. I want Scottish football to be seen as top quality. 

I would like Scotland to have successful international sides and successful club sides. 

Football is the national sport of Scotland. So it is important for national pride that Scotland does well in matches.

Continental Football Matches As A Trophy In Scotland 

Would it be good to have more continental matches. Such as Europe v North America, South America v Africa, Asia v Oceania and Central America v Europe?

This would be a fun trophy to hold. Perhaps the tournament could be held in 2022 in Scotland to mark the 150th anniversary of international football. 

The first international football game was held in Scotland in 1872.

So how about a one off, where all the main continents play a representative side of their best football players, for a the title of top continent in football?  

It could be a group stage trophy with each continent getting a first and B team to play the trophy. 

Such as Europe A, and Europe B. Or South America A, and South America B. 

The group stages would lead to a knockout round, then a final.

In the Olympics Women's soccer, the Canadians and Great Britain, have drawn 1-1 at the Kashima Soccer Stadium.

This is the final group stage game for both teams. 

Scotland's Caroline Weir scored an equaliser, for Great Britain. This was after the Canadian Leon had put Canada ahead.  

The result means that after three matches the Great Britain side have finished top of their group, with Canada in second. This result means that Great Britain qualify for the knockout stages of the 2020 Olympics Women's football tournament. 

It would be impressive for Great Britain to win a medal. 

The Kashima Soccer Stadium is in Kashima, in the Ibaraki Prefecture.

Glasgow Rangers have won a historic friendly against the most successful club team in European soccer, Real Madrid. 

The game was played at Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow. 

Rodrygo scored first for Real Madrid. 

Sakala then scored and equaliser for Glasgow Rangers. 

Itten scored the winner for Rangers. 

Cedric Itten is a Swiss international player, and seems to have a great future. 

It is an incredible result for Glasgow Rangers and Scottish soccer. 

Real Madrid have won 13 European Cups and 2 UEFA Cups.  Real Madrid have also been World Club Champions on many occasions. 

Glasgow Rangers have  won 55 Scottish top tier titles, and 1 European  Cup Winners Cup.

An impressive result for the Great Britain Women's Olympics team. 

Great Britain have defeated Japan in Sapporo, Japan.  

The game ended 1-0. 

Great Britain have now defeated Chile, and Japan in the group stages.

The next game for Great Britain is against the Canadians in the group stages.

I am hoping the Great Britain women's side win a gold medal. It will be tough to do. But I think Great Britain have the experience and quality to do so. 

The toughest team in the trophy are probably the famous USA side.

There are Welsh, Scottish, and English players, playing for the Great Britain Olympic Women's side. 

Sophie Ingle from the Welsh side is in the squad. Kim Little and Caroline Weir are from Scotland and are in the squad. 

The rest of the squad are from England. 

There are no players from Northern Ireland in the squad. 

Technically the Great Britain Olympic side represent the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, not just Great Britain. But Northern Irish people are allowed to represent the UK team or the Ireland team. So it is difficult to know if the team is called Team GB, or Team GB and Northern Ireland. 

The Great Britain Olympic side also claim to represent the following territories and dependencies; Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, the Falkland Islands (Known as Islas Malvinas in Argentina), Anguilla, Gibraltar, Montserrat, the Pitcairn Islands, Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha,  the Turks and Caicos Islands.

He has also played for Karpaty Lviv, and Sevilla Atlético. Plus a loan spell at Mechelen last season. He has been capped by the Ukraine. 

Now he has made a permanent move to Belgian side Mechelen. 

Mechelen are famous in Europe for lifting the 1988 European Cup Winners Cup against Ajax, and the 1988 European Super Cup against PSV.

Mechelen have won 2 Belgian Cups, and 4 Belgian titles. 

Mechelen is in Northern Belgium. Mechelen has a population of over 80,000.

Aberdeen had an impressive 5-1 victory over BK Hacken of Sweden. 

Ferguson scored twice for Aberdeen, the other goal scorers for Aberdeen were Considine, Ramírez and McLennan.

Jeremejeff scored for BK Hacken.

The game was 2-0 at half time. 

There were great competitive starting debuts for Aberdeen from Brown, Emmanuel-Thomas, and Ramirez. 

Aberdeen fans will be happy with an impressive 5-1 home victory. It is a great result for Scottish football. 

Hibernian also had an impressive win against Andorran side FC Santa Coloma.

Hibs won 3-0 at home. With two goals from Boyle and one from Nisbet. 

Hibernian will be happy to have a good win against a top side from Andorra.

Both Aberdeen and Hibernian need to be professional and play their best sides in the away legs. 

I really think the Scottish clubs are capable of winning the Europa Conference League, if they take every game professionally. I recognise European football is tough, and there are no easy games. 

But a relatively small to medium sized nation could produce a winner of the Europa Conference League this season. That could be nations like Greece, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Belgium, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, or others. Poland is a big nation but I think there sides are still capable of lifting the Europa Conference League. And maybe it could be Scotland. 

It is not as if Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG will be in the Europa Conference League. There is a chance for all the Scottish clubs in the trophy.

Cole McKinnon and Robbie Ure scored for Rangers B side in the game. 

Glasgow Rangers B side have had a successful start to the season. 

The Spartans are a famous Scottish soccer side, from Edinburgh. 

The Spartans have had some good runs in the Scottish FA Cup in recent years. They also have won 2 Lowland Leagues and 9 East of Scotland Leagues in their history. 

Sparta was the name of a powerful city state in Ancient Greece. 

There also other clubs with names connected to the Sparta city state. 

Sparta F.C. is the name of one soccer side in Greece. 

AC Sparta Prague is a very successful soccer side in the Czech Republic.

The Scottish League Cup is also known as the Premier Sports Cup.

It is the biggest shock of the round. As Scottish Championship ICT, lost to Scottish League One Cove Rangers.

The USA soccer side has beaten Canada 1-0 Sunday to be top of Group B at the Concacaf Gold Cup.

Canada v the USA is a massive derby in international soccer. The USA won this game with a goal by Shaq Moore. Moore plays for CD Tenerife in the Spanish second tier.

This is a massive North American game. And the USA will be wanting to reach the final of the trophy and win. 

The Gold Cup is a major international trophy, for North and Central American international sides. and has been won 11 times by Mexico. The USA have won it 6 times. Costa Rica 3 times, and Canada twice.

Canada have a Ross County player in the their squad, Harry Paton.

Collin Morikawa Wins British Open 2021

Morikawa has won his first British Open Golf Championship.

Morikawa is from the USA, and has now won two majors, the British Open and the USA PGA.  

The trophy was played at Royal St George's in Great Britain. 

Morikawa was challenged by Jordan Spieth, Louis Oosthuizena, and Jon Rahm.

Rahm is from Spain, and Oosthuizen is from South Africa. 

Morikawa managed to get 15 under for the trophy. 

The closest Brit was Scottish golf star Robert MacIntyre on 7 under. He completed the trophy in 8th position. 

Great Britain will be frustrated to have not had a British player win the trophy.

Next year the trophy will be held at St Andrews, Scotland.

 Rangers B And Celtic B Play First Games In Scottish Lowland League.

Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers played their B teams in the Scottish Lowland League for the first time on the 17th of July 2021.

The results were  

Rangers B 2 Bo'ness United 0.

and Bonnyrigg Rose 2 Celtic B 1.

I give my full support to Celtic B and Rangers B playing sides in the lower divisions. I also support other big Scottish clubs like Aberdeen, Motherwell, Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian, Dundee United, Dundee and any other Scottish side playing second sides in the lower divisions. 

This is about give young top Scottish players a chance to play against real teams in front of tough atmospheres. 

The fact is the bigger clubs normally produce more top players, so we should create a system which incentivizes clubs to develop those top Scottish players. 

We should create a system which takes advantage of our bigger clubs to produce more top players. By playing B teams in lower divisions. We can give more young Scottish players competitive matches. While not damaging the quality of the first teams which represent Scotland in Europe. 

They play B sides in the lower divisions, in Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain and Croatia.

I support Scotland having a system which produces top Scottish players, have successful international sides, while still having club sides doing well in Europe.

Scottish Clubs Should See Europe As A Priority

I think European football for club sides is the priority. 

As I have said before the international sides are the top priority. But the next priority is European club football. 

I think the Champions League is a tough trophy, but probably not a realistic title for Scottish club sides. 

But I think the Europa League and the Europa Conference League are realistic trophies for the Scottish club sides. 

Especially the Europa Conference League is a realistic trophy for all Scottish club sides. Even the smaller Scottish Premier sides are capable of winning the Europa Conference League. It would be one of the biggest achievements in the history of Scottish football for a Scottish side to win the Europa Conference League. So teams should see it is a vital trophy, 

I hope Scottish sides do well in the trophy.

The 19 year old has played once for Israel. Sources say he has great potential for the Scottish game.

The national team is the priority, and performances of Scottish sides in Europe, is the next priority. 

It is important that Scotland does not damage itself with virtual self-flagellation of fans of some Scottish clubs wanting other Scottish clubs to suffer. 

We must be united in our support of Scottish sides, and of Scottish soccer. 

I want all Scottish teams to do well in Europe. I want Scotland to produce great players and managers. 

I want the national team and Scottish clubs to do well and attract and develop top players. 

Although I am happy for Scottish players to go to other countries to help their development. 

I am also happy for Scottish football to attract top foreign players. 

I would also like extra cross border trophies for Scottish sides (on top of domestic and UEFA trophies) with clubs from other countries.

 Lionel Messi has won a major international trophy with Argentina, by winning the 2021 Copa America. 

The Argentinian player, widely regarded as one of the best players of all time, won his first senior major trophy with Argentina.  

Messi has been a super player for Barcelona in Europe with league titles and World and European trophies.. 

But his international legacy was mixed until now.

Messi can now claim to have won a Olympics Gold with Argentina, a World Cup Runner Up spot in 2016. And now a Copa America winner with Argentina in 2021.

The final of the 2021 trophy was 1-0 to Argentina at the Maracana Stadium. Messi can be proud.

England have been defeated on penalties in the final of EURO 2020, at Wembley Stadium, London,

The result ended England 1 Italy 1

But Italy won the penalty shootout 3-2. 

The game itself was exciting and intense. 

In a tense, exciting game. England took the lead within 2 minutes of the first half, with a super goal from Luke Shaw. 

England dominated the first half. 

But Italy came back in the second half, and Bonucci scored a brave goal to equalise.

Both teams had chances in extra time, 

But Italy won a thrilling penalty shootout. 

Gareth Southgate the England Manager will be especially disappointed as he went out to Germany, in a 1996 penalty shootout at Wembley Stadium in the semi final stage of the European Championships. .  

G Donnarumma the Italian Keeper performed well for Italy. 

England can be proud of their run to the final. 

It is the second time Italy have been European Champions.

Aberdeen and Inverness will be happy with the performances of both sides early in their development for this season.

Italy defeated a top quality Spain side on penalties to reach the final of the EURO 2020 Trophy. 

Italy took the lead in the second half via Chiesa. Then Spain equalised via Morata.

The game went to extra time then penalties. 

Italy won 4-2 on penalties with the final penalty scored by Jorginho for Italy.

The Italy side played what seemed to be more defensive tactics than Spain. 

Spain dominated in terms of possession and passes. 

Spain passed up a few opportunities to score. 

Italy were fortunate to go through, but their performances in earlier EURO 2020 matches indicate they will be a threat in the final of EURO 2020.

I like Friendly Matches In Football

 I like Friendly Matches In Football.

The main reason is there is nothing to lose. 

If you lose, you can write it off as a meaningless friendly game. 

I you win then you can cheer your team winning. 

Also another reason is you get to play more unusual matches. 

In club soccer, you could get Celtic playing a Scottish non-l;eague side. or Aberdeen playing a Scottish Highland League side. 

You can play teams from abroad, or in different divisions, or representative sides. 

Teams like Aberdeen or Dundee United could tour an Asian, North American or African country. 

Which is very unlikely to happen in a competitive match. 

Plus in international football Scotland get to play top non-European sides like Brazil, South Africa, Argentina, the USA, or Nigeria. 

It is fun to play non-European sides in matches. And to have an impact outside of Europe. 

But I still like it when Scotland or a Scottish club side play a team from a European country in a friendly. 

Sometimes you get unusual matches like the Republic of Ireland v Glasgow Celtic, or Hibernian v Gibraltar. 

I love matches like that when it blurs the difference between international and club football. 

I remember one time Dunfermline Athletic played the New Zealand national side. 

Rangers and Celtic have both played Chinese selects in matches. 

As I have said before I would love Scottish sides to play sides from India, or China more often. And friendly matches seem the most likely option there. 

I love friendly games because of the lack of tension, added to the more unusual fixtures you can have.

Obviously Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers are favourites. 

But anything can happen.

Aberdeen, have made changes and will be targeting a good season. 

Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian and Dundee United rightly see themselves as big clubs, so they could challenge for top places. They have all won the league in the past. 

Motherwell will be targeting a good season. And after all they they did win the Scottish League in the nineteen thirties. 

Dundee have also won the Scottish League in the past. So history does not stop them. 

It will be expected that Celtic and Rangers challenge for the league. Both clubs have invested in top players. 

The league title has not gone out of Glasgow since 1985, when Aberdeen FC won the league. 

Since then Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers have shared the Scottish title every year.

England have knocked out the Ukraine from the EURO 2020 Trophy. 

Kane scored twice, Maguire and Henderson also scored.

The England team have reached their first European Championships semi final since 1996. 

England took a large four to zero  win against the Ukraine. The game was played in Rome, Italy. 

The England team was starting with Jordan Pickford, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Kalvin Phillips, Declan Rice, Jadon Sancho, Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane.

The subs used were Jordan Henderson, Marcus Rashford, Kieran Trippier, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Jude Bellingham.

England will be playing Denmark in the semi final at Wembley Stadium.

Inviting Irish Sides Into Scottish League

Inviting Irish Side Into Scottish League.

Would it help Irish soccer to invite one club from Dublin and one club from Belfast into the Scottish League? 
We would have to get permission from the Irish soccer authorities. 

But would two clubs from Ireland grow in the Scottish League from playing clubs like Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Hibernian, Heart of Midlothian, Motherwell and Dundee. 

Travel would be tough. 

Also the Irish might be upset at losing big clubs from their leagues. 

Plus as a Scot it would be annoying when a non-Scottish side win the Scottish cups and Scottish leagues. But overall it would strengthen Scottish soccer. As it would add to the market of Scottish soccer. And it could allow the Northern Irish and Republic of Ireland to have big clubs which could help develop Irish players, with expensive youth systems in their clubs. 

The Republic of Ireland are needing funding for their football system. If a big club in Dublin played in the Scottish leagues then they could find youth systems in Ireland. The same for Northern Ireland. 

It could be fun. 

There was talk a few decades ago about Clydebank FC of Scotland moving to Dublin, Ireland.

Scotland is the most passionate football nation on the planet. So the Scottish soccer league is the best on the planet. 

For me the national team is the priority. Everything should be done to have a strong national side. =

The famous footballing nation of Italy have defeated the top soccer side Belgium in a thrilling, passionate, exciting game in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. 

Italy scored two incredible goals from Barella and Insigne in the first half. 

Belgium scored a penalty at the end of the first half. 

Both teams played attacking soccer in the game.

Italy seemed to be dominating the game when they took a two goal lead.  

Italy will be wanting to win their second European Championship to add to their four World Cups. 

Belgium started the game with Courtois, Alderweireld, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Meunier, Tielemans, Witsel, T Hazard, De Bruyne, Doku, Lukaku.

Belgium also brought on as subs Chadli, Praet and Mertens.

Spain have narrowly defeated Switzerland in the Quarter Final of the European Championships of soccer. 

Spain and Switzerland drew 1-1 in normal time.

No team scored in extra time.  

Spain scored via an own goal by Switzerland. Switzerland equalised in the second half via Shaqiri.

Freuler of Switzerland was sent off. 

The penalties ended 3-1 to Spain. 

It was a match that Spain dominated in terms of shots and possession. But they needed penalties to beat the good Switzerland side. 

Switzerland performed well in the EURO 2020 Championship. 

Spain will be targeting a third European Championship title of this century.

I would love Scotland to win a major trophy like the European Championships or World Cup. 

If Croatia can get through to a World Cup Final, then why can't Scotland?

We need Scotland to produce top players and have a top manager to get to qualify for major trophies and then have to aim even higher to win.

The legendary Heart of Midlothian player Marius Zaliukas died last year after suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. Heart of Midlothian have decided to honour the great player with the retirement of the number 26 shirt. 

While at Hearts he won a Scottish FA Cup as captain in 2012. 

Among other trophies he won  also won at Žalgiris, the A Lyga, and the Lithuanian Football Cup. 

The player lived from 1983 to 2020. 

He was a Lithuanian who played for Hearts, Glasgow Rangers, Inkaras Kaunas, Leeds United, Žalgiris, FBK Kaunas and FK Šilutė. Plus he also played for the Lithuanian national side.  

He was part of an era when Hearts signed many Lithuanian players. The club were owned by  Vladimir Romanov in that era.

He is a great player. It would be great for Scotland, if he carries on being a top player.

Scottish Clubs Need To Perform Weill In Europe This Season. Support Scottish Soccer. 

It would be great if a Scottish side reached the Champions League Group stage, and won a European trophy, 

I think it is difficult for a Scottish side to win the Champions League. 

But I still think Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers are big enough to win the Europa League, 

And I still think every Scottish Premier club could be capable of winning the Europa Conference League if they were in it. 

At present Hibernian and Aberdeen are in the Europa Conference League. I accept every game will be tough for these teams. The Europa Conference League has tough teams. But I think all the nations of Scotland's size in Europe, are capable of producing sides that could win the Europa Conference League.

It is a tough trophy, but winnable. 

As there are only a few teams from the bigger leagues of European football in the Europa Conference League. So it is an outside chance one of the smaller nations will produce a winner of the trophy. 

I want Scottish clubs to prioritise European soccer, for national pride.

The former Hibernian player has apparently joined Dutch giants Ofir Marciano Israel goalkeeper Joins Feyenoord.

Hibernian FC in Scotland have risen up the leagues in the last few years. Marciano has been key in that move up the table. 

The former Hibernian goalkeeper played in the Scottish leagues for five seasons. 

He has now joined one of the biggest names in  European soccer. 

Feyenoord have won 1 European Cup, 2 UEFA Cups, 15 Dutch titles and 13 Dutch Cups.

It is a big move for the Israeli international. 

Marciano has also played for Ashdod, and Royal Excel Mouscron.

The new manager needs to time to develop his new side. They seem to be wanting to play an attractive style of football. It can be more difficult to get results that way. They have signed a few players from the USA. 

Glass has a tough act to follow. 

Derek McInnes was a very successful Aberdeen boss in winning a League Cup, and reaching other finals, and finishing high in the league each season. 

I hope Stephen Glass does well for Aberdeen. 

It is ambitious to play attractive soccer, and try to get results.

I hope McInnes gets a good manager job somewhere, he deserves a great job in football.  

Glass will have a tough job at Aberdeen FC. 

The key signing seems to be Scott Brown, from Celtic. Hopefully he stays fit, and is a good leader on the pitch.

Andy Murray has defeated German qualifier Oscar Otte in a five set thriller 6-3 4-6 4-6 6-4 6-2. 

The game was played in June 2021 and was a Wimbledon second round match. 

Murray once again showed amazing mental strength and quality to this time defeat the tough German opponent on Centre Court. 

Murray was two sets to one down, but managed to win the last two sets to win a memorable victory. 

The German player was a qualifier. Andy Murray has performed well to teach the third round. 

It is super victory for greatest Scottish tennis player of all time. 

Murray has done Great Britain and Scotland proud.
