The Ancient Soccer World Cup : 3100 BC to 1850.
As we know there has been an official World Cup of international teams running from 1930.
Before that, the international football (soccer),started with a game between Scotland and England in 1872, then Wales and Ireland followed. And after that in 1901 Argentina played Uruguay played the first international outside the United Kingdom.
But did you know that for thousands of years football was played before then, with some of the greatest rivalries played out over history.
I found out that the champions of the ancient to modern times, was listed in a scroll. The scroll was in a library that will remain secret. But now I will reveal who the champions were. Let me add that in the early years football was played more intermittently due to the distance to travel, and the difficulty in geo-political relations.
Here is a list of nations in ancient to modern times soccer.
