The Scottish National Conference Cup.
I think there should be a Scottish national non-league cup.
I would call it the Scottish National Conference Cup.
The cup could involve the top 6 Scottish Highland League
sides, the top 8 Scottish Junior sides from the Scottish Junior leagues. The
top 14 Scottish Lowland League sides. And the B teams of all 12 Scottish
Premiership sides.
When the Lowland League East and West are brought in, there
could be 7 teams from each Scottish Lowland League, East and West.
The idea is for;
6 Scottish Highland League
8 Scottish Junior League sides.
14 Scottish Lowland League sides.
12 Scottish Premiership B sides.
Total 40 sides.
There could be 8 groups of 5. With each team playing each
team in their group once. Two home games, and two away games.
The top team of each group plays in the quarter-final. This is followed by a semi-final, and a final.
The teams with the best record in the group stages have home
advantage.
