Celtic Nations Side At Women's Rugby Union.

The Scottish, Irish and Welsh sides have struggled this season against France and England in the women's Six Nations.

So here is a brave innovative idea; 

How about Scotland, Wales, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Cornwall, and Brittany merge their rugby sides to create a multi-nation international side at rugby union? 

We already have the British and Irish Lions at Rugby Union, touring the nations of New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. 

And at cricket we have the West Indies being as major force in cricket, despite being a multi-nation side.

The West Indies are a proud cricket team for the cricket regions of the Caribbean region.  

So my idea would be to have a Celtic Nation Women's, Rugby Union side representing the Celtic nations at rugby union, in a NEW four nations trophy Championship. .

The teams in the four nations Championship could be France, the Celtic Nations Combination Team, England, and Italy. 

I do not think we need to merge the Scottish, Welsh, and Irish sides at men's rugby, as the Scottish, Welsh and Irish do OK at male rugby union. 

The Celtic nations have a proud history and culture. 

So combine the Celtic nations at women's rugby union and create a major force of rugby union. 

Although I do think Scotland, Wales, Cornwall and Ireland should each have separate international sides at men's rugby. The Celtic Nations could play concessionally as combined teams in special test matches against the other major rugby union sides,  like against New Zealand and Argentina.
