My Review Of Film The Color Purple

This was a 1985 United States of American film directed by Steven Spielberg, based on the famous novel by Alice Walker.

The film starred an impressive performance by Whoopi Goldberg. Other great actors in the film included Danny Glover, Oprah Winfrey, Margaret Avery, Willard Pugh, and Adolph Caesar. The movie told the story of an African American lady called Celie during the early 20th century. The story looked at deep serious profound issues.

I believe the story is profound and deep. It tells a powerful story with great acting and resonance. The story kept my interest with superb acting and story.

I am not surprised the film won lots of awards. It is a top quality movie.
