Christian Ramírez Has Been A Good Signing For Aberdeen

Christian Ramírez Has Been A Good Signing For Aberdeen.

He signed for Aberdeen FC from Houston Dynamo in 2021.

He has scored 8 goals in the Scottish Premiership so far this season. He has also scored in Europe.

I would love him to play of USA international side again.

He was born in California in the United States of America.

It would be an honour for an Aberdeen player to play for the USA.

Cross Border Celtic Club Cup.

I support a Celtic Nations Club Cup Idea For Soccer. As I have said elsewhere on this blog.

My idea is for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, and Brittany to have a cross border football club cup of top sides, including all the Scottish Premiership sides. -

Imagine club teams like Aberdeen, Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers,. Hibs, Heart of Midlothian, Motherwell and Dundee Utd getting to play top club sides from the other Celtic nations.

This would be on top of domestic and European football. So Scottish teams would still play in the Scottish soccer leagues, and Scottish Cups.

Travel would be no tougher than the trips professional sports sides do in the USA, Canada, Australia, Russia, Poland, China, India, Bangladesh, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.

I would love more cross border games for clubs from the Scottish Premiership guaranteed each year, against sides from other Celtic nations.

I love the intensity of cross border games. Your team are playing for local and national pride. So the games have high pressure and meaning.

Thank You.

Imagine all Scottish Premiership sides being guaranteed competitive games against non-Scottish sides each season. A group stage trophy for games against teams from other nations.

SFA Cup And League Cup Finals Tickets Should Be 50%-50% Share

I Think SFA Cup And League Cup Finals Tickets Should Be 50%-50% Share

I think as much as possible the ticket share for Scottish Cup and League Cup finals should be 50%-50% between each side.

I am not anti the Old Firm. I want Celtic and Rangers to do well in Europe. I want them to be amongst the biggest clubs in Europe. I want them to win European trophies. I see them as Scottish clubs.

But this is purely a fairness issue. The cup final should be a neutral venue. A team should not have an advantage, just because they have more fans.

Obviously if one of the teams has no chance of selling 50% of the tickets, then that should be taken into account. I understand that. There is no point in deliberately letting 40% of the tickets go to waste because of a pretence that some team can sell tickets, that they cannot really sell. I totally understand that.

And if a team cannot sell their tickets then I am OK with letting the other club buy the tickets as long as it does not affect security.

But where you can be sure each team can sell 50% of the available tickets. Then both teams should get 50% of the tickets,

Obviously some of the tickets will be given to sponsors, and officials. I understand that also. But there should be a 50%-50% share of the tickets to be given to both sides,

I do not care if Celtic or Rangers get 6 times the average attendances one of the opposing teams average attendances. It is a neutral venue. A neutral venue. And the final should reflect that totally,

And how would we like it if Scotland qualified for a major final and got less tickets because we had a smaller population, than our opponents. It should not make any difference. It is a neutral venue and the attendance should reflect that.

I know Celtic and Rangers fans would say they fill their bigger grounds more often. So loyalty should be rewarded. But how would Rangers like it if the authorities said Celtic should get more tickets because they nearly fill a 60,000 capacity stadium when Rangers just fill a approximately 50,000 capacity stadium.

Plus Celtic and Rangers get to more finals anyway, so there fans will have more opportunities to see their team.

It might be tough on loyal Celtic and Rangers fans. But a neutral venue should be reflected by the crowd.

Scotland, Wales and Cornwall Should Co-Operate More At Soccer

Scotland, Wales and Cornwall Should Co-Operate More At Soccer

I think we are small nations on the island of Great Britain.

We could have more international matches at male and female soccer, between the nations, at different levels.

We could have more cross border club cups like for instance a Celtic Club Nations Cups.

Have Scottish sides entering sides in Welsh trophies. And more Welsh sides entering sides in Scottish domestic cup trophies, Like was done with Welsh sides playing in the Scottish Challenge Cup,

We could have more cross border co-operation at refereeing, coaching, management, stadiums, academy facilities, player development, cross border club cups, cross border international matches at different levels, cross border conferences, cross border co-operation at administrative levels, cross border co-operation at research levels.

It would be good for the three nations to co-operate more.

I would love games like Glasgow Celtic v Swansea City, Aberdeen v Cardiff City, Wrexham v Glasgow Rangers, Truro City v Dundee United, Newport County v St Johnstone, and Ross County v Connah's Quay Nomads,

There could be more international level trophies between the 3 nations.

Thanks.

The Quality Of Football Should Be First

The Quality Of Football Should Be First.

I think that the quality of a football teams is more important than stadiums, quality of pitch, location, and peripheral issues,

I do not think teams should be stopped from entering the Scottish Premiership, by virtue of their stadium or non footballing issues not being up to scratch. The most important issue is how good are their players at getting good football scores,

Otherwise teams spend more money on stadia, and pitches than on the quality of the players they are producing,

What is the point in having the best stadia in the World, if the players are not good enough.

The priority of Scottish soccer is having good players developed for the international teams and to improve club performances in Europe.

Celtic Nations Club Cup Idea - Soccer

Celtic Nations Club Cup Idea - Soccer.

I think Scottish soccer should put forward a Celtic Nations Club Cup Trophy.

This would be a cup club cup trophy between top club sides from Scotland, Wales, the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Brittany, the Isle of Man, and Cornwall.

My idea would be to include all Scottish Premiership sides, plus all the Welsh sides playing in the English league system. Plus selected sides from Northern Ireland, the Welsh Cymru Premier, the Republic of Ireland, Brittany, the Isle of Man, and Cornwall.

Imagine games like Glasgow Celtic v Cardiff City, Aberdeen v Wrexham, Glasgow Rangers v Nantes, Rennes v Swansea City, Newport County v Dundee United, Merthyr Town v Motherwell, The Isle of Man v The New Saints, Livingston v Stade Rennais, Truro City v Shamrock Rovers, St Johnstone v Sligo Rovers, Dundalk v Dundee, Linfield v Ross County, Connah's Quay Nomads v Hibernian, and Heart of Midlothian v Cork City.

Plus perhaps even extra sides could be invited in from the Celtic areas of Spain and Portugal. Plus small sides could be invited from England, France, Plus perhaps sides from the Netherlands, Belgium, Scandinavia, Finland, Russia, the Ukraine, the Faroe Islands, Poland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria or other regions.

I would expect the non-Celtic bigger nations to enter their smaller club sides. I am not expecting France to enter PSG. But I think Brittany should enter their biggest club sides.

I would not expect England to enter the likes of Man Utd or Liverpool. I would want England to enter sides like Chester, Bath City, Hereford, Tranmere Rovers, Shrewsbury Town, Bristol Rovers, Carlisle United, Northwich Victoria, Hednesford Town, Kidderminster Harriers, Bristol City, Sunderland, Huddersfield Town, Salford City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Coventry City.  They are big sides by Celtic standards, and would add to the trophy. Entering 8 club teams would be good from England.

The Celt Nations Club Cup trophy would be on top of domestic and European football trophies. So this would be an addition to the season,

UEFA allowed the Scottish Challenge Cup to have sides from Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and England. So UEFA do not seem to have a problem with extra cross border cup trophies.

The Celtic Nations Club Cup trophy could be a group stage trophy, followed by a straight knockout singe leg trophy, leading to a final.

The main Celtic Nations Club Cup would be held at home and away venues of all the competing clubs of each nation. So Aberdeen would play perhaps 3 home games, in the group stages in Aberdeen, and 3 away games at the venues of the opposing teams in their group,

I think a Celtic Nations Club Cup would be fun, and offer great trips to beautiful places and football regions.

The regions of Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Brittany, the Isle of Man, and Cornwall add up to around 20 million. So it is a big rich market for the bigger clubs to exploit.

Then with extra invited teams from other regions in Europe, it would be an even bigger trophy.

I am not pretending that this trophy would be like Real Madrid v Barcelona or Juventus v Inter Milan. But it would be an extra cross border trophy.

I think the Scots could open their clubs up to bigger markets.

While the Welsh sides in the English league would get to play European style trophies,

While the sides of the Welsh Cymru Premier, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man, and Cornwall could be awoken like sleeping giants. The Dublin, Cork and Belfast sides could particularly grow from being in such a trophy and playing big sides.

I would want this to be a primarily full time club trophy to give the trophy a strong base.

Clubs would need to fund their own participation. They would not need to pay an entry fee. But they would need to be able to fund their own participation in the trophy.

The final could be played at one of the competing team's stadia.

I think a Celtic Nations Club Cup would be a fun addition to the season. Where it could be  the bedrock of soccer in the nations of the Celtic lands. It could be cool and intense.

It would be an annual trophy.

The Celtic regions add up to a big market.

Some people might criticise the travel arrangements,. But look at the trips that teams have to do in Brazil, Australia, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Let alone UEFA trophies where teams travel from Kazakhstan and Georgia to Iceland and Norway, So I do not accept that a Dingwall (Scotland) to Nantes trip is impossible.

I would want cross border Celtic Nations Club Cups all the way down the levels. Also at male and female soccer. So there could be women’s Celtic Nations Club Cups.

The smaller Celtic Cups could be held at single locations like a mini- trophy, but the main Celtic Nations Club Cup would be held at home and away venues of all the competing nations.

The Celts in the Iberian peninsula have been known as the Celtici and in Portuguese, Spanish, and the Galician languages as the Célticos. The Celtic groups in the Iberian peninsula inhabited up to three areas of Alentejo and the Algarve in Portugal. Plus in the province of Badajoz and in the north of the Province of Huelva in Spain, and in the ancient Baeturia and along the areas of coastal Galicia. So perhaps these regions could provide sides for a Celtic Nations Club Cup also.

Thanks.

Celtic Cups All The Way Down The Levels.

Celtic Cups All The Way Down The Levels.

I think we should have Celtic Nations Club Football Cups all the way down the levels of Celtic soccer.

So that is cross border trophies involving teams from the Celtic nations of Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Cornwall, the Isle of Man and Brittany.

My idea would be cross border trophies between club sides from the 6 nations, on top of domestic and European football.

The top trophy would be a Celtic Nations Club Cup consisting of all Scottish Premier sides, plus the big Welsh sides in the English league that is Wrexham, Newport County, Cardiff City, Swansea City and Merthyr Town. Plus the big sides of Brittany like Nantes and Rennes. Plus selected sides from Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the Cymru Premier.  Plus a side each from the Isle of Man and Cornwall.

So there could be games like Aberdeen v Cardiff City, The New Saints v Linfield, Glasgow Celtic v Swansea City, Newport County v Dundee United, Rennes v Glasgow Rangers, Nantes v Shamrock Rovers, Hibernian v Cork City, Motherwell v Truro City,  and Heart of Midlothian v Wrexham.

Thus would be a group stage trophy followed by knockout stage leading to a final.

The UEFA authorities allowed Welsh, Irish and English sides in the Scottish Challenge Cup. So UEFA would allow cross border trophies.

Travel would not be a huge issue when you consider the trips that teams do in nations like Brazil, India, Canada, the USA, Mexico, Russia and China.

In rugby union the Scottish, Welsh, Italian, Irish and South Africans have had cross border club trophies, So North West Europe is not that tough to travel around.

I think the Scottish sides would like to open up to a larger market.

The big Welsh sides in the English league would get to play European style matches.

The Irish sides could be awakened from being sleeping giants.

The Breton sides could connect with their Celtic cousins.

The Isle of Man and Cornwall need to enter a team each as they are Celtic nations who should be represented.

But the Scottish Challenge Cup could also continue with sides from other countries.

But all the way down the levels there could be cross border cups involving the Celtic nations.

With for instance smaller part time sides having multi-team events at a single stadia. They could be called things like the Celtic Second Tier Cup, or the Celtic Secondary Shield.

I also think this should be done at men's and women's soccer.

So we could have Celtic Club matches trophies all the way down the levels.

There are also territories in the North West of Iberia, that are often seen as Celtic nations. These are regions in parts of Northern Portugal, and North West Spain. Including regions such as Galicia, Asturias, León, and Cantabria. Some of these regions have been referred to as Gallaecia and Astures. They are often considered Celtic nations. So perhaps these regions and nations could enter teams in the cross border Celtic trophies.

We could also invite sides from Yorkshire, England, and other parts of Western Europe such as from Belgium France, Denmark or the Netherlands.

Perhaps Scandinavia could enter sides and Central Europe could enter teams such as from nations like Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia.

Countries like Finland, and Greece could enter sides by invitation.

France 6 Kazakhstan 0 - Women's International

France 6 Kazakhstan 0 - Women's International

France yesterday had an impressive 6-0 win against Kazakhstan.

This was a big score.
It is a interesting result because the last time the men's team played Kazakhstan, the French won 8-0. That men's result was back on the 13th of November 2021.

I do not know what the record aggregate score for men's and female's soccer is between the the two international teams at the same relative time frame.

Could France play a team at men's and women's soccer on the same day?

And check is they could win both games on the same day.

Cove Rangers And Aberdeen Both Playing In Scottish Championship?

Will Cove Rangers And Aberdeen Both Be Playing In Scottish Championship Next Season?

Aberdeen FC fans will be terrified by the recent results of Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership, that is the top tier of Scottish men's football.

Aberdeen are just in 8th place, just 5 points above the relegation play-off place. And just 9 points clear of automatic relegation.

If Aberdeen continue to lose they could be relegated from the Scottish Premiership to the Scottish Championship. That is the second tier of the SPFL.

Aberdeen FC have never been relegated in their history before. So the Aberdeen FC fans will be hoping that the side are not relegated at the end of this season.

Meanwhile fellow Aberdeen side, Cove Rangers have been on the up.

Cove Rangers are in the third tier of Scottish soccer, which is called the Scottish League One.

Cove Rangers are sitting clear at the top of the Scottish League One,

If Cove Rangers win the Scottish League One, they will be promoted to the Scottish Championship at the end of the season, where they could play Aberdeen FC.

Cove Rangers were as recently as 2019, playing in the Scottish Highland League, which is in the 5th tier of the Scottish soccer system.

Cove Rangers won the Highland League in 2019, and were promoted to the Scottish League Two. Which they won in 2020.

Last season in 2020-21 Cove Rangers finished 3rd but did not get promoted.

But if the momentum continues then in season 2021-22 Cove Rangers could be playing Aberdeen derbies against the famous club of Aberdeen FC.

Aberdeen FC fans will be desperately hoping that Aberdeen FC can turn their results around to avoid relegation. It is a tough league. Aberdeen FC need to improve their results soon.

Celtic And Rangers In Europa League This Week

Glasgow Celtic And Glasgow Rangers In Europa League This Week,

Both the Old Firm sides need to win their games to have a realistic chance of reaching the knockout stages of the Europa League.

Both Old Firm teams will have strong sides to play against. So it will be tough to get good results.

The priority for me is European football.

To make Scottish football look good, we need Scottish teams to go far in European trophies.

I Would Like McInnes To Be Glasgow Rangers Boss

I Would Like Derek McInnes To Be Glasgow Rangers Boss.

I would like Derek McInnes to be Glasgow Rangers manager,

He is a good Scottish manager, who played for Glasgow Rangers.

As a manager he did very well at St Johnstone and Aberdeen.

At Aberdeen, McInnes won a Scottish League Cup.

He was Aberdeen manager from 2013 - 2021.

He managed second place in the top tier 4 times.

He got Aberdeen to the Scottish Cup Final once.

He also got Aberdeen to be runner-up in the Scottish League Cup twice.

Derek McInnes is a good loyal manager He has worked with some top players, and helped developed some top players. I think he deserves a chance as Glasgow Rangers boss. He can work on a smaller budget than Glasgow Rangers have. So he deserves a chance as Rangers boss.

Football Tops

Football Tops-

I like football tops. I am not a really a fashionista. But I do like football and sports team tops.

I have loved having football tops of Barcelona, Brazil, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Flamengo, Inter Milan, Ajax, Romania, and mainly Scottish sides.

I have enjoyed having tops from Rangers, Celtic, the Scottish national soccer team, Aberdeen, Dumbarton, Queen of the South, Dundee United, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Ross County, Gala Fairydean Rovers Arbroath, and the Scottish rugby side.

Football Stadiums - Ground Spotting

When I was younger I loved studying football stadiums. I am bit of a ground spotter. I like to go and see the local football stadium or pitch when I visit a place.

When I travel to a new destination, I love to see the local stadiums, and study the local football teams.

When I went to Rio de Janeiro I studied who were the big sides of Rio de Janeiro. Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense and Vasco da Gama are seen by some as the big four clubs of the city.
I also visited the stadiums of Real Madrid and Barcelona when I visited Spain,
I have also been to the football stadium of Olympiacos in Athens.
I have visited numerous football stadiums in Scotland those of Aberdeen FC, Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs, Dumbarton, Queen of the South, Stranraer, Motherwell, Montrose, St Johnstone, Hamilton Academical and Gala Fairydean Rovers. I have also visited Hampden Stadium, and the old stadium of Inverness Caledonian before they merged with Inverness Thistle to create Inverness Caledonian Thistle. I have also visited the national rugby stadium Murrayfield in Edinburgh.

Now I am more interested in Scottish football being the best on the pitch. I would rather we had a great team than a great stadium. But normally you need both.
It is great when Scottish grounds host major trophies like the Champions League Final, or a World Cup of any sport. It is a great honour when a Scottish ground hosts a major team from another country or a major final.
I love it when there are great stadiums with history in Scotland. But I would prefer us to have great teams and players on the pitch.

Football History

Football history is interesting to me.

I love to see how Scottish clubs have performed in trophies.

I love to study how my favourite sides have performed in Scottish trophies. I love to see who have won the most trophies and cups. Who have had good results in their history.

I also particularly like to focus on how well Scottish sides have done in cross border trophies. I love to see how well Scottish sides have done in Europe, or in other cross border trophies.

That is why I am a massive fan of more cross border trophies for Scotland.

I love to see how well the international side and club sides have performed against non-Scottish sides.

I love to see Scotland and Scottish clubs perform well in cross border trophies.

For me football history is what football is all about. A record of how well teams have done.

Aldershot Town 0 Wrexham 5 - National League -

Aldershot Town 0 Wrexham 5 - National League - November 2021.

Yesterday, Wrexham has an impressive 5-0 away win against Aldershot Town.

Hayden Lennon, Hall-Johnson, Ponticelli and Davies scored for Wrexham.

The Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson, got a good result for Wrexham yesterday.

The Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney should be delighted with the result.

Wrexham are a big club who have in their history won 5 FAW Premier Cups, 23 Welsh Cups, the Football League Trophy, and The FA Trophy. They also won the old Third Division in 1978.

Celtic Club Cup Idea -

I think the big Welsh sides in the English League system should play a Celtic Club Cup with all the Scottish Premier sides, plus selected sides from the Welsh Premier, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Brittany, the Isle of Man and Cornwall.

Cardiff City, Wrexham, Swansea City, Newport County and Merthyr Town could play in the trophy,

There could be some invited sides from England, such as from Yorkshire, or the border regions of England. Northern English clubs like Penrith, Kendal Town, Carlisle United, Blyth Spartans, Newcastle United, Sunderland, Barrow, Morpeth Town, Carlisle City, Morecambe, Workington, or Hartlepool United could be invited.

Chester FC could play in the trophy.

Or English clubs near the Welsh - English border could be invited such as Bristol Rovers, Bristol City, Tranmere Rovers, Shrewsbury Town, Crewe Alexandria, Hereford, Vauxhall Motors, Runcorn Linnets, Runcorn Town, Warrington Town, Macclesfield, Gloucester City, Forest Green Rovers, Kidderminster Harriers.

I Support A Celtic Club Cup

If we had a Celtic Club Football Cup it could be played over a populated region of 20 million people.

Scotland, Wales, Brittany, the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and Cornwall adds up to large population of around 20 million people.

There are massive sides and sleeping giants within these regions. I think a Celtic Club Cup would be really popular and could grow as an idea.

The trophy would be played on top of the domestic leagues and European football.

It would be a fun trophy, with big sides such as Aberdeen, Glasgow Rangers, Glasgow Celtic, Dundee United, Hibernian, Heart of Midlothian, and Motherwell.

The trophy would in my view have all the Scottish Premier sides, plus all the big Welsh sides Cardiff City, Swansea City, Merthyr Town, Wrexham and Newport County.

Plus selected sides from the Welsh Premier, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Plus all the top sides in Brittany. And a side each from the Celtic nations of Cornwall and the Isle of Man.

It would be a fun trophy with beautiful cities, town, and landscapes to see while travelling up and down the Celtic lands.

If the rugby union club teams of Italy, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and South Africa can have a cross border league, then why can't the football system have a Celtic Club Cup?

If club teams in rugby union can travel from South Africa to Europe, then why can't Scottish club sides play Welsh sides, and sides from Brittany?

Imagine games like Rennes v Aberdeen, Glasgow Celtic v Cork City, Dundee United v Wrexham, Cardiff City v Hibernian, Dundee v Connah's Quay Nomads, Shamrock Rovers v Motherwell, Ross County v Cork City, Glasgow Rangers v Linfield. and Heart of Midlothian v Newport County.

It would do no damage to Scottish football. But Scottish sides could increase the size of their advertising and TV market.

I would love to see Aberdeen playing top sides like Cardiff City, Swansea City, Rennes, Linfield, Shamrock Rovers, Wrexham and Newport County in a competitive trophy.

It would help the smaller Celtic leagues grow massively.

The trophy could be a group stage trophy followed by single leg knockout rounds, leading to a final.

The final could be at one of the two finalist's stadia.

It would be a fun trophy in terms of improving Celtic soccer.

Scottish Soccer Should Look For An Extra Cross Border Trophy

Scottish Soccer Should Look For An Extra Cross Border Trophy.

With all teams in the Scottish Premier. Plus some sides from other countries. This would be on top of domestic and European soccer. Teams from Europe, North America, Africa, or Asia could take part.

Maybe even from Australia, and South America and Central America.

I would love Scottish clubs to play more teams from outside of Scotland. It would be fun,
