What About A Scottish Football Of The Year Award From Any League?
At present the Scottish Player of the Year Awards can be given only to players in the Scottish Leagues. And it can include people who are not Scottish.
What about expanding a new award that is given to Scottish People from any leagues. So it could go to any Scottish player playing in the Scottish Leagues, or outside of Scotland in other nation's leagues.
So it could go to a player who has won a league or trophy in another country.
Lots of countries have a Player of the Year Award, for people from their own nation but who are playing in other leagues.
For instance Brian Laudrup won the Danish player of the year, twice while playing in the Scottish Football League for Glasgow Rangers FC.
I think this would enable a Scottish player to be rewarded for doing well in other leagues.
