Atlantic League Cup - European-African-Arabian Shield.

I support a Atlantic League Cup, on top of domestic and European football, for Scottish sides.

Have a group stage trophy. Where the top 4 to 6 teams of each nation, play in a cross-border Atlantic League Cup. Where teams from European nations like Scotland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland, Greece, Türkiye, Poland, Wales, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania, enter sides. This would be an additional cross-border trophy.

Perhaps even North African sides could enter, such as from Morocco, Egypt, Algeria. Or even other African nations could enter club sides like South Africa, Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, and DR Congo.

From a Scottish perspective, this would allow Scottish clubs to expand their brands, and gain access to bigger markets. And for their fans to visit amazing places.

In the URC rugby union, teams from South Africa, play sides from Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and Italy. So if it can be done in rugby why not football?

There could be games like Glasgow Celtic v Wydad AC, Glasgow Rangers v Al Ahly, Aberdeen v TP Mazembe, Heart of Midlothian v Raja CA, Hibernian v Enyimba, and Dundee United v Mamelodi Sundowns.

Perhaps the trophy could be called the European-African Shield?

Or perhaps Middle Eastern teams from Saudi Arabia, and Qatar could be invited to add extra finances?

It could be the European-African-Arabian Shield?

It could be fun.
