National League Cup - Pan-Great Britain Expansion.

I think that the English non-league trophy called the National League Cup should be expanded to include Welsh league and Scottish league guest sides.

At present the National League Cup, has English non-league teams and some under-21 teams from the Premier League 2.

The Scottish were allowed Irish, Welsh, and English sides in the Scottish Challenge Cup, so UEFA could be OK with inviting non-English guest sides.

And travel to Scotland 3 or 4 times a season, is nothing compared to the trips some League of Ireland sides do in UEFA trophies.  

I do not support merging the Scottish, English, and Welsh leagues.

But I do support Pan-Great Britain Cups on top of domestic and European football.

I do not support merging the Scottish, Welsh, and English leagues. As all the Scottish clubs would be relegated to the status of lower tier trophies. While the English trophies would be seen as forerunners of the British trophies. So for instance Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers would go from over 100 domestic tier one trophies each to zero domestic tier one trophies.

For the National League Cup. I would invite the first teams of all Welsh-Cymru Premier sides, some southern Scottish lower tier sides, and the B teams of Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Aberdeen, Motherwell, Heart of Midlothian, Dundee United and Hibernian as guest sides in the National League Cup.

This would be transformational for Welsh football sides.

As Welsh sides love to play English and Scottish sides. It would help Welsh football attendances, match quality, and financially. So it could help them compete in Europe. The Welsh often love English football. So England could help Wales here, in return.

It would not be transformational for Scottish and English sides. But it would be fun cross-border football.

Maybe even some clubs from Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland could be invited to compete if travel is OK.
