As I have said for the FA Vase. I think a good way to improve the FA Trophy, would be to expand the trophy. I think we should keep the Scottish, and Welsh leagues. But that the English should invite all Welsh-Cymru Premier sides, and some selected Southern Scottish sides as guest sides in the FA Trophy. 

I think it would hugely help Welsh soccer, and do no damage to English soccer.

Imagine teams like Colwyn Bay, The New Saints, Bala Town, and Barry Town United being in the FA Trophy. 

The early rounds could be regionalised so Welsh sides play English sides from near Wales. And the Scottish sides play Northern English sides.
