Major American Sports League With European And Global Conferences.
How About Global And Particularly European Conferences In The Major North American Sports Leagues? As the next step in expansion of American sports leagues.
I mean, the NBA, MLS, MLB, NHL, NFL, NWSL, CFL, NCAA, WNBA and others;
My idea would focus on Europe having their own conference. The European nations would combine to have their own conferences, that could be called Eastern Atlantic Conferences. The teams in these conferences could play fellow European sides, and a few North American, or eastern USA club franchises in their regular season. Feeding into the leading team in the European conferences joining the Major league playoffs.
Europe is a massive market for American sports.
But a problem for NFL, or NBA, or MLB would be expanding the NFL into a European city, as that team would have to travel many times a season over the Atlantic Ocean. The solution is to have lots of European sides, playing in their own continental conference, who qualify from the regular season for the playoffs.
So for instance the NFL, NBA, or MLB could set up teams in European cities like Lisbon, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin, Cardiff, Manchester, Liverpool, London, Berlin, Munich, Warsaw, Madrid, Rome, Vienna, Prague, Paris, Barcelona, Bilbao, Athens, Istanbul, Dortmund, Amsterdam, Belfast, Newcastle, Zurich, Zaragoza, Bratislava, Stuttgart, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Nantes, Lille, Birmingham, Sevilla, Valencia, Milan, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Bucharest, Stockholm, Wroclaw, Oslo, Frankfurt.
This could allow American sports leagues to grow, generate more revenue and build a bigger global reach.
There could also be conferences in South America, Central America, Eastern Asia, Western Asia, Central Asia, Oceania, Northern Africa, Southern Africa, with the same logic. Where their teams qualify for the American league playoffs. And where the playoffs and finals could still be held in the USA and Canada.
There could be a playoff preliminary round for some of the continents to qualify for the American playoff season.
Scottish, Irish and Welsh Clubs Joining MLS - Major League Soccer -
Would Scottish soccer / football clubs join the Major League Soccer leagues of the USA and Canada? Scotland, the USA and Canada have similar cultures.
Maybe even Welsh and Irish club sides could join the MLS.
Could a Dublin side be invited into MLS?
The MLS is a growing league and some argue it could be the biggest league in the World one day.
So how would the MLS feel about inviting in Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Aberdeen, Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian and Dundee United into the MLS.
They could take part in the Eastern sections of the MLS league. Or even qualify for the playoffs of the MLS.
It could be possible that Celtic and Rangers could just be invited. Both clubs would bring massive history and support to MLS. They could encourage the growth of soccer / football in the USA.
Clubs like Wrexham, Cardiff City, Newport County or Swansea City might want to join.
Maybe a club from Dublin or Belfast could join the MLS?
The USA and Canada are big sports markets,, so the Celtic nations could benefit from their clubs playing in the MLS.
Maybe one day even leading French, German, Italian, English, Polish, Dutch and Spanish sides sides will join the MLS?

The soccer scene in the USA and Canada is growing. And there is a strong historical connection between Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Canada, the USA, and England.

Ireland has a strong cultural connection to the USA and Canada.

The Scottish would bring fans, passion and massive passionate support. While would be able to grow commercially in a big market.

The leading MLS and NWSL sides would benefit from playing big teams from the British and Irish Isles.
There could be various trophies such as
1) A Scottish – USA Women’s Cup. The winner of the Scottish Women’s Premier and NWSL play a match to claim the dual title of Scotland and the USA.
2) A Scottish – MLS American Cup With the winners of the Scottish Premiership and MLS in a one off or two leg tie. This could be even bigger with 4 Scottish Premier sides playing all or 4 of the MLS sides in North America in a Scottish MLS Cup.
3) An Anglo – American Cup. A men’s version could be the champions of the EPL v the champions of the MLS. Or at women’s level, the champions of the NWSL versus the champions of the English Super League. It could even have in the men’s game teams from the lower divisions.
4) A British – Irish – North American Men’s Cup. Played between the champions of Scotland, Wales, the League of Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Mexico, the MLS. Or it could be even more teams from Scotland (maybe all top tier sides), and the MLS. As Scotland and the MLS could afford that.
5) A British – Irish – North American Women’s Cup. Played between the champions of Scotland, Wales, the League of Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Mexico, the NWSL. Or it could be even more teams from Scotland (maybe up to 4 top tier sides) and the NWSL. As Scotland, Mexico, and the NWSL could afford that.
6) A Scottish – USA – Canada – Mexico Cup – Played between the leading sides of Canada, Scotland, Mexico, and the USA.
7) A Celtic – American Men’s Cup. Played between multiple Scottish and MLS sides (including the champions), plus the champions of Wales, Northern Ireland, and the League of Ireland. This could be played in the USA or Canada. As the Celtic nations have strong links to the USA and Canada.
8) A Celtic – American Women’s Cup. Played between multiple Scottish Premier and NWSL sides (including the champions),plus the champions of Wales, Northern Ireland, and the League of Ireland. This could be played in the USA or Canada. As the Celtic nations have strong links to the USA and Canada.

He spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Aberdeen FC. He has now signed a long term contract to move to Aberdeen FC. He is one of Aberdeen's best players, so this is a fantastic move for Aberdeen. I hope he does well in the coming years in Europe and Scottish football, for Aberdeen FC.

Manchester City have won their first UEFA Champions League this year in 2023.

OK! I accept it is extra ambitious to win a European trophy. But I really think Aberdeen FC are still big enough to win the Europa Conference League. If they get some good singings and have some lucky hard worked victories over top teams.
I think Aberdeen FC, Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian are still big enough to win a Europa Conference League.

Tony Docherty Looking For Good Season As Dundee New Manager.
Tony Docherty is the new recently appointed Dundee Manager, and will be wanting a good season.
Dundee were promoted from the Scottish Championship, as champions, so will be in the Scottish Premiership in the coming season.
Dundee are a big Scottish club, with lots of trophies in their history.
Tony Docherty had a good playing career. And among having done other jobs in football, was the Assistant Manager, at Aberdeen and then Kilmarnock.

The big European clubs have massive supports, in Europe,

But will the Saudis and other Arabian powers, tempt non-European,
and even some European audiences to watch the major Arabian leagues?
Leagues like Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia could grow to be
superpowers, with limitiless financial backing.
The star players like Ronaldo and Benzema could tempt global
audiences to watch the Saudi league.
In the past and present the rich Arabian owners have bought
up massive Western European sides to develop World beating soccer sides.
But will the Saudis and other Arabian nations take the
option of building their own super leagues and super clubs in their own
country. That they will have control
over.
It should only cost a few billion euros or dollars to build
super clubs in Arabia, that challenge the major European club sides.
No different to building clubs in the major Western European
nations.

The Arabian trillionaires may decide it makes more long-term

SWPL Play-Off Final : Hamilton Academical Defeat Gartcairn.
In the Scottish Women's Premier League Play-Off Final, Hamilton Academical Women have defeated Gartcairn Women 2-1.
The game was played between Hamilton Academical Women, who ended this season in the top tier, SWPL\1 in second last position. While Gartcairn ended the league season second in the second tier SWPL 2, behind Montrose.
The result means Hamilton Academical Women will platy in the top tier SWPL 1 next season, while Gartcairn will play in the SWPL 2.
SWPL2 Play-Off Final - Stirling University Beat Rossvale.
Stirling University have defeated Rossvale 1-0 in the SWPL2 Play off Final.
It is an impressive result for Stirling University Women's side.
This season Stirling University ended the league season in second last place, in the SWPL2.
East Fife were in last place in the SWPL2 this season, so were automatically relegated.
It meant Stirling University had to play Rossvale in the SWPL2 Play-Off Final.

Today, Barcelona have won the Women's Champions League Final for the 2nd time.

Today. Glasgow Celtic have defeated Inverness Caledonian Thistle by 3 goals to 1, at Hampden Park, Glasgow to win the 2022-23 Scottish Cup.

In the Scottish Junior Cup on Friday night, Cumnock Juniors defeated Rutherglen Glencairn 1-0.

It is the third time Cumnock Juniors have won the trophy.

Sevilla Win Europa League Against Roma.
Sevilla defeated Roma in the Europa League Final on Wednesday.
The game ended 1-1 after extra time. With an own goal scored for Sevilla, and Dybala scoring for Roma.
The game went to a penalty shootout where Sevilla won yet another Europa League with a 4-1 penalty shootout victory.
