I think Scottish, and Welsh club sides should play each other more often at competitive club trophies, while keeping their own leagues.
Scottish, and Welsh club sides played each other in the Scottish Challenge Cup for a few years, so cross border games are allowed.
My ideas include;
A. A trophy between the champions of the Scottish Highland League, Scottish Lowland League, Welsh Cymru North, and Welsh Cymru South. Perhaps a four or two team trophy. Either two of the champions or all four champions. The trophy could be played at one of the participating team's stadia.
The one match final ideas include;
B. A Welsh - Scottish Football Club Silver Cup. Contested between the champions of the Cymru Welsh Premier, and the champions of the Scottish second tier Scottish Championship.
This would be a one match final, played at one of the participating teams stadiums. With the host nation changing each season. One match would not be a huge addition to the season.

Bridge Over A Sports Pitch At A Stadium.
How about a pitch for sports matches or concerts that has a bridge over the stadium, for fans to get aerial views of the match or concert?
This could be done at stadiums or arenas for games like soccer, American football, basketball, baseball, tennis, cricket, shinty, Gaelic games, Aussie rules football, ice hockey, hockey, volleyball, netball, snooker, darts, boxing, MMA, or other sports.
The bridge or bridges could be constructed high up above the game field, to look down on the pitch. With see through sides. The bridge could be enclosed for safety and to ensure play is not interfered with. The bridge could even have sections with glass or see through plastic floors for people to walk over with an aerial view of the game or match.
The bridge could be used for walking over, or sitting, and watching the event. It could be a luxury section for VIPs, or for ordinary fans.
So it could be directly over the pitch.
Plus for concerts an aerial view of the stage.
