National League Cup - Pan-Great Britain Expansion.
I think that the English non-league trophy called the
National League Cup should be expanded to include Welsh league and Scottish
league guest sides.
At present the National League Cup, has English non-league
teams and some under-21 teams from the Premier League 2.
The Scottish were allowed Irish, Welsh, and English sides in
the Scottish Challenge Cup, so UEFA could be OK with inviting non-English guest
sides.
And travel to Scotland 3 or 4 times a season, is nothing
compared to the trips some League of Ireland sides do in UEFA trophies.
I do not support merging the Scottish, English, and Welsh
leagues.
But I do support Pan-Great Britain Cups on top of domestic
and European football.
I do not support merging the Scottish, Welsh, and English
leagues. As all the Scottish clubs would be relegated to the status of lower
tier trophies. While the English trophies would be seen as forerunners of the
British trophies. So for instance Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers would go
from over 100 domestic tier one trophies each to zero domestic tier one trophies.
For the National League Cup. I would invite the first teams
of all Welsh-Cymru Premier sides, some southern Scottish lower tier sides, and
the B teams of Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Aberdeen, Motherwell, Heart of
Midlothian, Dundee United and Hibernian as guest sides in the National League
Cup.
This would be transformational for Welsh football sides.
As Welsh sides love to play English and Scottish sides. It
would help Welsh football attendances, match quality, and financially. So it could help them compete in Europe.
The Welsh often love English football. So England could help Wales here, in return.
It would not be transformational for Scottish and English
sides. But it would be fun cross-border football.
Maybe even some clubs from Northern Ireland, and the Republic
of Ireland could be invited to compete if travel is OK.

Idea For More North English Teams In The Scottish Football League System.
This is an idea for Scottish, and Northern English soccer / football.
With
the allowance of Tweedmouth Rangers, and Berwick Rangers, in the Scottish
football pyramid system.
I
do not mind English clubs in the Scottish leagues.
But
I don’t support Scottish clubs joining the English Leagues, as people would
wrongly think Scotland was part of England. And all the Scottish major trophies
would suddenly be relegated to the status of lower-tier trophies if leading
Scottish clubs joined the English leagues.
Also,
I would not support a British League as once again people would think all the
Scottish major trophies in history were the status of lower-tier trophies,
while all the English trophies would be given the status of forerunners of the major
British league trophies.
But
nobody would think England is part of Scotland. And Northern English clubs
joining the Scottish leagues would strengthen the Scottish leagues system, and potentially
enable extra places for English clubs in Europe, via the Scottish leagues.
When I say Northern England I mean the far North, as in Northumbria, Cumbria, Durham, Tyne & Wear, and North Yorkshire.
Scenario
1; Northern League. Northern English clubs joining the Scottish pyramid
system.
The
plan would be the entire Northern League of England joins the Scottish
football pyramid system.
The
Northern League is an historic football league in the English pyramid system. It is at level 9 and 10 of the English pyramid system. It has clubs that by Scottish standards would be relatively big clubs.
These
clubs could join the Scottish pyramid system on level with the Scottish
Highland League, the Scottish Lowland League West and Scottish Lowland League
East. The champions of each league could have a play-off to decide who
plays the bottom side in the SPFL League Two.
Clubs
in the Northern League include Ton Law Town, Washington, Carlisle
City, Shildon, Redcar Athletic, Whitley Bay, Guisborough Town, Sunderland West
End, North Shields, Bishop Auckland, and Penrith.
Scenario
2; Clubs in the North of England, that are in the Northern League, National League, Northern Premier League, and EFL League Two join the
Scottish pyramid system.
So
allow the Northern League in. But also allow in teams from the English
League Two downwards that are located in Northumbria, Cumbria, Tyne and Wear,
Durham, and Northern Yorkshire.
This could be additional clubs like Carlisle Utd, Harrogate Town, Whitby Town, Hartlepool United, Morpeth Town, Workington, Scarborough Athletic, Hebburn Town, Stockton Town, South Shields, York City, Barrow, Gateshead, Blyth Spartans, and Darlington.

Invite
in all the bigger clubs of the region into the SPFL.
Including Sunderland, Newcastle United, Middlesbrough, Leeds United, and Bradford City. Plus all the clubs in the region in the EPL, EFL, National League, Northern Premier, and Northern League.
This would help the Scottish league grow in size. It would also allow Scottish club sides to play some more big English sides. And it would do little damage to England’s football league system. As England has many big clubs.
The clubs joining from the English leagues could play in the Scottish Cup, and Scottish League Cup.
Also allow Northern English sides into the Scottish Women’s Leagues. So teams like Sunderland, Durham, and Newcastle United could play in the Scottish women's league system.

It should be a good signing for Glasgow Rangers. The player is a North Macedonia international.

I think a good idea for a new trophy would be a trophy

The idea could be either;
1. The
champions of the English Midland Football League Premier Division, and the
champions of the Welsh Cymru North play a final.
2. A
straight knockout cup involving all Cymru North sides, and all Midland Football
League Premier Division sides.
This could be a fun cross border trophy between good
English, and Welsh sides.
The final could be played at a participating team’s stadium,
with the host nation swapping each season.
Hellenic Football League – Cymru South Super Cup.
I have an idea for a cross-border trophy.
A knockout trophy between all teams in the Cymru South, and
the English lower tier league called the Hellenic Football League Premier Division.
Or a trophy between the champions of the Cymru South, and the
champions of the Hellenic Football League Premier Division.
The final could be played at a participating team’s stadium,
with the host nation swapping each season.
The Hellenic Football League covers teams in England in a
region in Southern English lands.
The Welsh Cymru South is the second tier of Welsh football
covering Southern Wales.
Northern League – Scottish Lowland League East Super Cup.
I have an
idea for a new football trophy.
With the
creation of the Scottish Lowland League East for next season.
I think a
good idea for a trophy would be a cup played between teams in the Scottish
Lowland League East, and the historic English lower tier league called the Northern
League.
The idea
could be either;
1.
A
Super Cup style trophy of the champions of the Northern League, and Scottish Lowland League East playing each
other at the end of the season.
2.
A
straight knockout cup, of all English Northern League sides, and all Scottish
Lowland League East sides. It could be all Northern League Division One sides, or al of the Northern League Division One, and Division Two sides.
The final could be played at a participating team’s stadium,
with the host nation swapping each season.

Travel could be tough, but the distance between Southern Eastern
Scotland, and Northern England is not as much as trips some Scottish teams

non-league systems.

Followed by a cross-border tournament of 3 teams in a single location.
The 7 participating teams could be; 3 from Scotland, and 2 each from Wales, and England.
The Qualifying Round Teams.
These would be;
1. The Scottish Highland League Champions.
2. The Scottish Lowland League East Champions.
3. The Scottish Lowland League West Champions.
4. The Cymru North Champions.
5. The Cymru South Champions.
6. The National League North Champions.
7. The National League South Champions.
My idea would be the qualifying round would consist of;
A. The qualifying round between the Scottish Highland League champions, the Scottish Lowland League East champions, and the Scottish Lowland League West champions. (There is already set to be a Scottish pyramid system play-off between the Scottish Highland League champions, the Lowland League West champions, and the Lowland League East champions, to be played each year to decide which team play the bottom team in the Scottish League Two, to decide which team play in the SPFL the next season. This could also be the qualifying round of the Great British Vase.)
B. The Cymru North champions v The Cymru South champions. A single leg tie, at a participating team’s stadium.
C. The National League North champions v The National League
South champions. A single leg tie at a participating team’s stadium.
Finals.
The winners of the qualifying rounds play at a participating team’s
stadium in a tournament finals. With the host nation swapping each season. With each of the 3 qualified playing each
other in a round-robin finals trophy.
The winning team is named British Vase Cup Champions.
This would be a fun Pan-Great Britain non-league trophy.
The trophy could be played at the end of each season, or during the next season.

Welsh Soccer Super League Idea.
I have an idea for the Welsh football league system.
My idea would be to invite the Welsh sides in the English
leagues into the top tier of Welsh football.
But attracting them would be add decent sized English sides
near the Wales-England border.
And secondly to allow the leading Welsh League sides to be invited
into the English knockout cups as guest sides.
For instance the leading 6 Welsh league sides as guests in
the English League Cup.
And all Welsh top tier League sides as guests in the EFL Trophy. Also
Scottish Premiership sides not in Europe as guests in the EFL Trophy.
Also a Welsh-Scottish Super Cup. A single leg trophy between
the Scottish, and Welsh Champions, played at a participating team’s stadium.
With the host nation swapping each season.
So the big sides of Cardiff City, Wrexham, Swansea City,
Newport County, and Merthyr Town, would be promoted to tier 1 of the Welsh
leagues.
The English sides near the Welsh border invited into the
Welsh leagues could be; Chester FC, Tranmere Rovers, Crewe Alexandria, Runcorn
Town, Shrewsbury Town, AFC Telford United, Warrington Town, Vauxhall Motors FC,

I am against a British league merger. I want 3 strong
leagues on the island of Great Britain, not just one or two.
My idea would be reforms that makes the Scottish, and Welsh

The Welsh would benefit as their league would be stronger.
The English would benefit as more of their teams could
qualify for European football.
There would still be a Welsh Cup.

My idea to improve it, would be to add Scotland, the
Netherlands, and Ireland having their own teams.
That would grow cricket in parts of Europe, where cricket
would develop.
People like cricket in Scotland, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
At present the teams in The Hundred are, Birmingham Phoenix,
London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles,
Southern Brave, Trent Rockets, and Welsh Fire.
There could be the Scottish, the Irish,
and the Dutch, having their own teams.
Or even a combined European team, called the European Wanderers, that represents Scotland, Ireland, the Netherlands, and other parts of Europe, that do not have franchises in The Hundred.
This could increase the market size, TV ratings, and sponsorship.
